Land Recycling Prize 2016 - Nomination for the „Special Prize“

Awarded every 3 years, the focus of the “Land Recycling Prize” is to honor sustainable and future-oriented urban planning developments, by drawing attention to their prudent and thoughtful area usage. Among the nominees for the special prize is the Aesculap Innovation Factory in Tuttlingen, Germany (architect: ORANGE BLU building solutions) „which shows the restructuring of a used industrial area in a commendable fashion. The minister for traffic and infrastructure, Winfried Hermann, emphasized during the presentation: „The nominated projects are exemplary as to how a planning culture, through intensive cooperation, can create solutions for towns and municipalities, that establish identities of place and enrich the communities”.
